What: Open House for new students interested in attending Phillips
Time: 3:30-5:00 PM

Everyone is welcome to come and play games, earn prizes, and have fun with family and friends while learning all of the great things about Phillips Elementary. We will also provide you with information for how you can apply to come to Phillips, even if you do not live in our attendance boundary.
Reasons to consider Phillips:
- 87% of our students are proficient in reading and 80% proficient in math on the Iowa Assessments by 5th grade
- 96% of ALL students are making good behavior choices without adult support
- Very active Parent Teacher Organization with a family event each month
- Student Involvement: Student Leadership Team, Chorus, Band, Orchestra, Girl Scouts’ Site
- Field Trips: At least 2 for each grade level each year
- Additional CORE Knowledge Curriculum & Technology Class
- Positive Supports: paw prints, positive office referrals, dream team, hall of fame, classroom incentives, celebrations, PRIDE day, McDonalds breakfast with the principal, weekly No Tardy Party, monthly Bubble Gum Party
