I love that as the school counselor, no two days are ever alike! I have the opportunity to work with students in the classroom setting, in small groups, as well as individually. I also love getting to interact with parents on a regular basis, too. Please stop by and say “Hello” my door is always open!
My name is Amber Snethen and I am the School Nurse at Phillips. I graduated from DMACC with my RN degree and went back to school at Walden University to obtain my BSN for the sole purpose of becoming a school nurse. Being a school nurse has been my dream as it puts my two favorite things together, taking care of people and KIDS. I was a nurse at Mercy Hospital for 7 years on a Medical-Surgical floor where I gained so much knowledge. I still work at Mercy as needed and love gaining new knowledge every day.
Phillips school is a special place for me as I went to school here from Kindergarten-5th grade. I love the school and love what it stands for. I consider myself very lucky to be at this school and to be able to build relationships and care for each and every one of the students here.
