I am incredibly passionate about teaching and work hard at improving my craft every single day.
When I am not teaching, you can find me spending time with my husband Scott and our three kids, Parker, Bennett, and Mackenzie. We love to walk our dog, play at the park, watch movies, and check out new things in and around Des Moines.

This is my 1st year teaching in my very own classroom. Prior to this, I was a substitute teacher. I graduated from Grand View University. I been in Des Moines my whole life, in fact, I was actually once a Phillips student. I guess you could say once a Tiger, always a Tiger. When I have the time, I love to travel. My favorite hobbies include binge watching Netflix, reading, and spending time with my family!
I graduated from Drake University with my B.S. and my M.A. I’ve enjoyed teaching at Phillips for the past 18 years. I spend my free time reading, playing golf, and riding my bike.

When I’m not at work I enjoy reading, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
