Military Visit

Mrs. Flomo’s kindergarten class had a visit from Private Adrian who is in the Marine Corp. The children have been corresponding with Private Adrian and were very happy that he came to Phillips to visit their classroom. We appreciate our military!

Valley View Village Donation

Pictured are Shelley Charter and Alexis Morrison from Valley View Village with our principal, Kristy Fitzgerald. The residents of Valley View Village donated 71 hats, 58 gloves, 3 scarves, and 4 headbands. Thank you for the beautiful hand made hats, scarves, headbands, and mittens. Our students will be warm this winter.

Kindergarten Pilgrims at Phillips

Mrs. Stone-Flomo’s class celebrated Thanksgiving by reading “Thanks for Thanksgiving” in class. They also made pilgrim hats to wear while reading. Happy Thanksgivings to all!

Chat & Chew with Ms. Fitzgerald

Each week Phillips has an attendance incentive for classrooms with no tardies . On Friday, those classes without any tardies for the week are placed in a basket to be drawn for a special lunch time with Ms. Fitzgerald. On November 14th Mrs. Rohweder’s class received this honor by having a fun time with Ms. Fitzgerald in the school gymnasium.

Alzheimer’s Association Donates Turkeys

Phillips Student Council with their leader Mrs. Ellefson, have been busy sorting donated non-perishable food items for our annual food drive. The Alzheimer’s Association stopped in today and donated turkeys for our food drive. Thank you to everyone for supporting Phillips families during the holiday season.

Thanksgiving Food Drive

Phillips annual Food Drive begins Monday, Oct. 27th and ends on Friday, Nov. 14th. Students may bring non-perishable food items and place them in boxes provided in their classrooms. Each classroom will be competing for extra recess. There will be a chart placed in the cafeteria showing how many donated food items each classroom has brought in. Thank you for your generosity.
